We are recruiting a Software Engineer Backend Java / Spring Boot - Lille - Freelance (M/F)

About the role

As part of a long-term mission for one of our major retail sector clients, we are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a team working on strategic products at the heart of the Supply Chain and B2B order management. The mission You will join a human-sized product team in a context of high load and large-scale deployment. Your main challenges will be: - Design and develop robust and scalable Java / Spring Boot microservices - Evolve and consolidate the existing foundation: refactoring, technical debt, performance - Work on event-driven architectures and asynchronous flows with Kafka - Manipulate and optimize data persistence with PostgreSQL and MongoDB - Strengthen quality: JUnit, Cucumber, integration tests and API tests - Participate in Code Reviews and architecture choices - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments - Intervene on L3 support, Root Cause analysis and resolution of complex incidents - Perform load and performance tests on APIs and microservices - Improve observability and monitoring with Datadog, Micrometer / Actuator and logs Technical stack Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot Architecture: Microservices, Kafka, REST API Data: PostgreSQL, MongoDB Cloud & Infra: GCP, Kubernetes, Aiven CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Docker, Helm, Flux, Maven Monitoring & security: Datadog, Sonar, Gravitee, HashiCorp Vault Tests: JUnit, Cucumber Location: Villeneuve-d'Ascq / Lille metropolitan area We are looking for a profile with significant experience in Java Backend development, comfortable with microservice architectures and containerized environments. Beyond technical mastery, we are looking for someone capable of taking a step back on architecture choices, challenging the existing, contributing to code quality and supporting other developers on the team.
