About the role
As a Java Developer (m/f/d), you are part of an international team at several locations and further develop software solutions for public transport. Our clients are transport companies and transport associations, and we develop customer-specific apps, web shops, and mobility solutions for them in a project context. As a Java Developer (m/f/d), you are responsible for developing our products, taking into account all relevant stakeholders and corporate goals. With your skills, you contribute significantly to the company's success and the advancement of the mobility transition. This is what awaits you: Our team works on the new and further development of our software products MOBILE-PLAN in the field of planning and data management. This allows our clients to optimally plan and implement daily operations in public transport. Within the team, your tasks are as follows: You accompany the holistic software development process Your tasks as a developer range from data modeling to UI design, to interface implementation Every day, you use various technologies and tools, e.g., Swing/JavaFX, Groovy, JPA as well as Git/SVN, Maven, IntelliJ IDEA, JIRA, SonarQube) You support our colleagues in consulting or sales with technical questions (e.g., during requirements analysis and support cases) or exchange ideas with other development teams for interface implementation You take on project responsibility within the team and have contact with national and international clients What you bring with you: A completed technical degree (e.g., computer science) or training/further education as an IT specialist for application development You have already gained relevant professional experience in software development with Java Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and in formulating complex, high-performance queries would be an advantage You enjoy working in a team and interacting with clients Thanks to fluent German and English skills (spoken and written), exchanging ideas in an international environment is easy for you Furthermore, you find it exciting to experience your work live on-site during occasional (inter)national business trips Location: HanseCom Public Transport Ticketing Solutions GmbH, Karlsruhe Come on board!
